ODE TO FRIENDSHIP…

In order to one’s life, on this earth, to lead

companionship is what they would need.
Hence, in different ways, one goes to seek

as else, life would turn out to be real bleak.

The simplest way, yet hard to find is FRIENDSHIP
by which one hopes to see both happiness and hardship.
It is something that can go beyond one’s own region
and certainly has nothing to do with the religion.

True friends, it is said, in life, are hard to get
and them, its never that easy to even think to forget.

Not to everyone does this blessing and “gift” suit
as Aristotle said that” friendship is a slow ripening fruit”.

For survival, as it is known that friendship is vital
at times, someone may turn out to be extra special.
Can be said that people for a moment, they wait to seize
to prove Mencius right that it is “ one mind in two bodies”!!

Fate may make each other to endure a different phase
and to test may make them go to a different place.
Even if lives were to take a complete u- turn
friendship must be strong and must still go on.

Mohammad Ali stressed on friendship and its meaning
as without it, it meant that “one hadn’t learnt anything”!!
This goes on to show that apart from showing some care
joys and sorrows, one must willing to always share.

But still can be seen especially in our generation
that this relation undergoes a lot of tribulation.
Yet one must maintain as to what was their as a thrill
and not perceive it merely as to pass or time to kill.

At times, all our friends, we may never get to meet
whenever we get the chance, in our way, we must greet.
None would expect, a particular style to display or show
as the “language is in meanings, not words” as said Thoreau.

So, let us value our friends who are always sincere
and even though they are, to us, not at all near
let the friendship reach to such a level and height
that it continues even if it is out of mind and sight!!
