BACKGROUND: Recently, much to my chagrin, noticed that someone apparently very special to me (now and before) had decided to “ditch” my “friendship” that we shared online apart from the offline relation we shared since having found “greener pastures” elsewhere. Looking back, I realized I had lost many “friends” both online and offline and was wondering how it feels when this work came to my mind!!..
We might have decided to be always together
even if it meant not knowing what was the future.
Yet, one doesn’t not get words to express or say
when, from one’s life, friends decide to move away.
For some, it maybe a craze to accumulate fame and money
or for the genuine lot, it may getting caught in matrimony.
Yet, for them, a stage comes when 24 hours is less in a day
and then you realize that friends have decided to move away.
Nowadays, some find an identity in being “online”
as for them, that is the key to gain cloud nine.
The moment they stop coming across you and your way
its time to realize that friends have decided to move away.
At times, may emerge a lot of unnecessary difference
and each other may not need the other’s presence.
Yet one may feel that all these mustn’t be kept at bay
and then you realize that friends have decided to move away.
In life, as usual, lots of people come and go
and something’s, over time, we tend to know.
It is memories that are memorable that’ll stay
when you realize that friends have decided to move away.
