BROKEN DREAMS-YET SOMETHING TO LEAVE FOR...

As a child, one would have surely looked up to the sky
and would've come a thought to soar really very high.
But when would've heralded youth, one might've got to learn
that life, in its own way, would've its high and lows to take an u-turn.

Would've looked impossible to reach to the horizon
and mistakes would've seldom thought one a lesson.
People around would've only this nasty habit to preach
especially when the attempts were futile and out of reach.

There might not be a suitable medium to express
and hence ambitions one might've had to supress.
It would've been like vying for a forbidden fruit
that something all around may not, for them, suit.

But one might've, day in and day out, seen this as a dream
and over time and years, turned into many a million ream.
One would've keept the mind sane without seeing to frustration
with the hope that one day, one would get the right direction.

All those desires and wishes, one might not've to satiate
or those, like water, in the air, might've got evaporate
might've made one think that one is doomed to be a looser
and life has nothing except setbacks, to all, to offer.

Yet the rainbow called HOPE would offer something to learn
that if somethings were to happen, it was only out of concern.
All that once could do is to oneself and all to console
and emerge oneself stronger to don a new role.

Looking back one has to feel that one didn't have to fall
after reaching a stature that appeared to be real tall
as whenever something life was out to invariably bring
it would've always given a rope to quickly cling!!
